Get ready BHS FBLA for a GREAT year of building friendships, learning new things, making memories, building leadership skills, and traveling! The 26-27 National Theme “Where Leaders Begin” kicks off for us next week with our first fundraiser and recruitment activity of the year. Student members interested in attending the SFLC in October should stop in to see me at Open House.

WV FBLA is heading to The Greenbrier this fall.

Our Fall Conference will take place October 29-30 at West Virginia’s premier five-star resort, bringing together members from across the state for two days of engaging workshops and nationally recognized speakers in one of the most iconic settings in the country.

🚨 Flood Relief Opportunity 🚨

As many of you know, parts of West Virginia were hit with devastating flooding this week. We have been working closely with the volunteer leadership in Weston, West Virginia and plan to take a bus with supplies and student volunteers next Wednesday, July 29th. Tentatively, the bus will leave at 8:00AM and return at 6:00PM.

We will find our exact work locations on Monday; however, I would plan to wear boots, gloves, and old clothes. If you are a student who would like to volunteer, please let us know so we can add you to the list.

We will also be collecting donations at school Monday and Tuesday from 8:00AM-3:30PM. The list attached is what is needed!

Please consider contributing to these efforts! We look forward to doing our part to bring some relief to these communities.

Day 3 and Day 4 of NLC 26 were busy, fun-filled, and soooo HOT! Day 3 was our chapter day so there were no scheduled conference activities. We went to Six Flags Fiesta, rode the rides, snapped tons of pics, and made wonderful memories before ubering off to Hard Rock for a late dinner. Day 4 started with a little free time on the San Antonio Riverwalk, shopping, and a visit to the Alamo. We closed out the conference at the Awards of Excellence without any awards, unfortunately, but had a good conference experience, and an even better time!

Day 2 of NLC 26 is coming to a close. Today we attended workshops, finished the preliminary presentation events, and attended our first meeting as part of the Eastern region of FBLA (after being a part of the Southern region for years), where we were awarded our Silver Champion Chapter banner for completing our local chapter goals set by our members and meeting many of the state and nationals goals set by the national office. We have one objective test tomorrow, then we wait to hear if we advance to the finals! 🤞🏻
After conference activities wrapped up, we had dinner at Margaritaville and enjoyed some pool time.

Day 1 of NLC 26 in San Antonio we were up early and off to Sea World for a HOT day of rides and animal encounters. Then, it was back to the hotel to get ready for the Opening Session. Today is Competition Day!!

We are still collecting for our upcoming yard sale on May 9th.

Our FBLA is asking for donations for our upcoming Yard Sale on May 9. Members recently competed at the State Leadership Conference and many are now eligible to compete at the national level this June in San Antonio, Texas. All profits from the yard sale will help to lower the out of pocket expenses for students, and provide them with an awesome EDUCATIONAL experience. Please consider donating your items.
