It was such an exciting day for our youngest summer campers! They got to go to flight school, see Marine transport helicopters up close, try their hand at the flight simulator and see everything up close in one of the trainers!

You are invited to celebrate an exciting new chapter for The Academy at Belle! We are becoming Life Skills Academy and moving to a new facility located at 2222 and 2230 Electric Road! Join us for an Open House at our new home on Saturday August 15th, where you'll have the opportunity to tour our expanded facility, meet our dedicated staff, and learn more about our unique multi-generational approach to combining academic excellence with real-world life skills education for both students and parents.
Our new location allows us to more than double our capacity and expand into middle school over the next few years while continuing our mission of empowering children and parents with the tools they need to succeed and our commitment to small class sizes. We look forward to welcoming you and sharing our expanded vision for the future!

Our students were putting this week's lifeskill of teamwork into action in a meaningful way today!
Older students partnered with younger students to help them practice and master last week's life skill of learning to tie their shoes. It was so wonderful to see them encourage, guide and support each other!
After that, the fun continued with a creative shark project! Students practiced teamwork again by collaborating and taking turns to create their shark portraits! From helping friends practice tying shoes to working together to create an art project, our students showed that teamwork makes learning more meaningful and fun!

Thank you Clean Valley Council for a fun and informative day at Stream School! Today, our students discovered how healthy watersheds support life by learning about the fascinating bugs, fish, amphibians, and other wildlife that call our streams home. By studying these, our students learned how to measure the health of an ecosystem.
Our biggest takeaway? Everything is connected. The water flowing through our streams eventually makes its way into rivers and eventually the ocean, reminding us that what happens in our communities has a lasting impact and that protecting our watersheds helps protect our oceans too!

The weather and the cosmos kept messing with our field trip plans but we still had an amazing week last week learning about money and pretending to time traveling to different ages in time. We had a dinosaur escape room, visited the ice age, created some groovy art and even had a 1980s dance party!

Our 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students learned how to start their own business today. Teaching kids about money today builds confident adults tomorrow. From saving and budgeting to starting their first small business, every lesson empowers them to dream bigger, think creatively, and build a bigger future. This is the best investment that we can make in the next generation. Thank you McLeod Family Foundation and Michelle McLeod Hillis for making that investment in our students today!!!
