Brush, brush, brush your teeth! 🎶🪥
Our little learners had so much fun exploring how to care for their teeth. We practiced brushing, looked at real toothbrushes, and talked about foods that help our teeth grow strong and shiny!

We turned magnetic letters into doggy treats! 🐶 The children had a blast matching their letters with the bones on the sheet. Hands-on learning that feels just like play!

Today our little artists explored nature in a whole new way! Using fresh herbs, flowers, leaves, and fruit, they created their very own natural paints.

With a mortar and pestle, they crushed strawberries, basil, and garden leaves, turning them into colors and textures for their artwork. This hands-on process engaged all five senses:
👀 Seeing colors appear
👃 Smelling the herbs
✋ Feeling textures
👂 Hearing the grinding
😋 (Robyn tasting…😄)

Nature truly is the best art supply.

EXPLORING the 5 Senses
Today our toddlers had fun learning about their five senses using Play-Doh and Mr. Potato Head features! Instead of the potato base, we rolled Play-Doh into balls.

Through this playful activity, children:
• Identified and named facial features (eyes, nose, mouth, ears).
• Practiced connecting features to their senses (seeing, smelling, tasting, hearing, touching).
• Built fine motor skills while pushing and pressing parts into the Play-Doh.
• Engaged in language development by talking about what their senses do.

Hands-on learning helps make big concepts simple, fun, and meaningful!

Glades area families: Grab-and-go weekend meals are available for students to pick up on Fridays through July 25, from 1:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

The District’s School Food Service will be providing free grab-and-go meals, including 2 breakfasts and 2 lunches, for children 18 years old and younger at both Glades Central High School and Pahokee Middle-Senior High School.

These meals do not need to be refrigerated and don’t require cooking or reheating. If the child is not present, an adult will need to provide documentation identifying the student.
