Parents: Please take a moment to update your student’s information for our Annual Information Update available on the Parent Portal now through September 4. You can access the Parent Portal at bit.ly/JUSDparentportal.

By providing up-to-date, accurate information for your student each year, you can help to ensure that your child’s school can contact you in the case of an emergency and that staff have the information they need to serve your child best. Correct contact information also helps ensure you receive timely information from your school and the district.

To update your child’s information, go to the Annual Information Update section of Parent Connection. The Annual Information Update is accessible from any internet-connected device.

Ina Arbuckle Elementary students celebrated a month of good attendance with snow cones! Every student who had perfect attendance in August enjoyed a tasty snow cone yesterday afternoon.

September is recognized as National Attendance Awareness Month, and September 21st - 25th is Jurupa Unified’s Attendance Spirit Week.

Keep an eye out for all the fun activities schools are doing to promote and celebrate good attendance. Remember, Attend Today, Succeed for Life!

Students from all JUSD elementary schools are invited to attend Think Together on campus on October 29 and 30.
In addition, each school will have one designated day for a field trip to Knott’s Berry Farm. Families may choose for their student to:

• Attend the Knott’s Berry Farm field trip on their school’s designated day
• Stay on campus and participate in Think Together activities
• Participate in both options.

Think Together will be open on campus both days, regardless of the school’s designated field trip day.

Field trip spaces are limited, with priority given to students in grades 1–6. The field trip option also fulfills a JUSD Attendance Recovery program requirement.

Mission Bell Elementary opened its Community Care Closet this morning with a big celebration. Student leaders, alumni, parents, and community partners who made this possible for Mission Bell joined in the ribbon-cutting ceremony. This closet is one of several clothing resource centers on Community School campuses across Jurupa Unified.

Students have worked on Mission Bell’s Care Closet since last year as part of JUSD’s Week of Service. JUSD Board members, administrators, students, and members of the media toured the new closet this morning.

Thank you to the Western Riverside Communities Rotary Club, Mission Bell Peer Assistance and Leadership (PALs) program, EarlyAct student service club, and Mission Bell Parent Academy for their partnership, time, and efforts.
