Western Bioarchaeology Group 09/28/2022

The Western Bioarchaeology Group Conference (WeBiG) is coming to Riverside on Oct. 21-22nd!

We welcome students at all levels and anyone with an interest in bioarchaeology, archaeology, or forensic anthropology to attend!

Friday is an open plenary session with Dr. Sabrina Agarwal from UC Berkeley who will talk about "Envisioning Bioarchaeological Futurisms."

Saturday will have a series of speakers who will discuss bioarchaeology and forensic anthropology. The Conference will end with a networking session with snacks and an open bar.

This Saturday, Oct. 1 is the last day to get the cheaper early bird registration!

Western Bioarchaeology Group The Western Bioarchaeology Group (WeBiG) was founded in 2012 with the mission of organizing an annual meeting in Western North America. The aim of the annual meeting is to facilitate collegial engagement and networking and promote discussion of issues in bioarchaeological theory and method.

Moreover, both of them are heading to grad. school this Fall. Isabella will be starting a Master’s in Anthropology at New York University this Fall. Rita will be starting a Master’s in Anthropology at the University of Chicago this Fall.
