Poly High Puente Program

Congratulations to our wonderful Puentistas who were crowned as Midwinter Royalty tonight! It was a beautiful evening and I loved seeing you all dressed up and having so much fun!!!

Today we had the opportunity to tour The Cheech Museum and it is a phenomenal experience! We would love to thank and for making our experience possible. Students toured exhibits, analyzed art, embraced culture, and even learned some collage art! A big thanks to Alexa Vazquez for an impressive tour. Our students learned so much today because of all you shared with us. Please make The Cheech your next stop when in downtown Riverside. We are truly lucky to have this gem in our hometown!!! 🇲🇽🎨🖌️🖼️

Our Poly Holiday Toy Drive is coming soon! Once again we will be collecting NEW, UNWRAPPED TOYS for children in our local area. Donations will be accepted in Room 611 starting December 2nd. Students can earn community service that can be applied to 1st or 2nd semester. 🎄🎅🧸🪀🪁

Earn one hour of community service for every FOUR cans/packages donated to the Poly Food Drive. Together we can help feed Riverside and show our community how much our Bears Care! Please support this cause! 🦃

The end of Quarter 1 is right around the corner! This Friday is a MINIMUM DAY so please note the different bell schedule. Lunch is provided on campus but students are not required to stay for lunch.

Homecoming Week is almost here! Don't miss any of the excitement and celebrations! Students, you can earn community service for float building so get out there and help your class build your float. Parents, feel free to join us for float building (we need all the help we can get) and for all the festivities on Saturday. No one does Homecoming like Poly, so come experience all the fun and PRIDE of being in BEAR COUNTRY!💚🐻🧡

Sending hugs and love to all the parents of our Puente Class of 2024 grads who are heading off to college this semester. We know these moments are difficult, but you've all worked so hard to get to this place. Just know that you've raised amazing young adults and they are ready for this next exciting adventure! And to all our Puente Alumni in college... Keep working hard! Your dreams are right around the corner and you have a legacy of future Puentistas who are following in your footsteps. We are so proud of you!

Another Class of Puentistas said their farewells to the halls of Poly High School, but they'll never say goodbye to their Puente family, because Once a Puentista, Always a Puentista! Class of 2024... go out into the world, challenge it, explore it, right wrongs where you find them, say you're sorry when needed, ask for help, and always remind people that you love them. And I love all of you! So wherever your next path leads, know that you can always come home again and your Poly Puente familia will be here for you. 💚🧡

It is with the deepest sadness that I have to share the news of the passing of a Poly Puente alumni, Mitchell Babcock. Mitchell was a member of the Class of 2022, an outstanding Puente student and an active member of our theater program, in addition to other clubs and extra curriculars that he belonged to. Our hearts are broken and we are without words... We ask that you send loving vibes and prayers to the Babcock family as they grieve their son and brother. Our hearts go out to all of you. And to all who knew Mitchell, we are here for you. Puente is a family and this loss cuts deep. Please take care of one another, reach out if you need anything, and know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers. And to Mitchell... I loved the chance to be your teacher. I have fond memories of your silly antics, the games of hopscotch, and the moments that you just found a way to make me laugh. I will miss you... Rest in paradise. 🙏🏼🤍😢
