The California Museum of Photography is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year so it’s the perfect time to:
📸 🎨 Explore early photographic processes through hands-on demos and art activities!
⭐️ See an exhibition of photographs by Inland Empire middle and high school students inspired by photographic artist, Christina Fernandez.
🎥 Watch documentary shorts created by high school students from the Off the Block Filmmaking Workshop.
🎸Enjoy live music by Spanish guitarist, Pedro Lopez de la Osa!

Gluck Pentland Fall Music Series
Bring your picnic and your blanket for an evening of music and art on the Pentland Hills lawn at Patio Q.
Join Gluck Fellows guitarist Jorge Calaf Vicario, experimental electronic musician Alvaro Lopez and performing artists Al Ellison and Evan Duncan; Jessica Maccaro will lead Insect Poetry making activities.
Mark your calendars for both October 13 and November 3 for this Fall Quarter outdoor concert series.

Why the arts?

In Search Of - point and shoot film cameras ... we, the Gluck Program at UCR, are doing a black and white film photography project with the high school photography class at Sherman Indian High School starting in the fall and need about 10 film cameras. The students will check out the cameras from us and take them home during winter break.
Most of the kids at Sherman, a residential school for Native American kids, live on reservations around the country and go home for winter break.
Sherman does not have film cameras to lend as they are unable to replace the cameras if they are lost or broken. Our budget also cannot afford purchasing film cameras that also may not return from break. We will buy the film and the batteries for the project.
Do you have a film camera in the back closet that you don't quite want to toss, but would be happy to see it go to a good cause?
