Get ready for a month full of tasty and nutritious meals! 🌮🥗🍕 From student favorites to healthy new options, the May menu has something for everyone.

• Star chicken nuggets on Star Wars Day (May 4th) 🌟
• Lucky Tray Day with Shark Chicken Nuggets on May 26th 🦈
• Pizza Wednesdays! 🍕

This morning we had the honor of attending the 2026 Carol Rude Scholarship & Awards Brunch. 💐

We’re proud to share that we tied for Unit of the Year alongside , such an exciting recognition! 🎉

This marks our third Unit of the Year honor in the past four years, a reflection of our continued commitment to serving Taft students. It’s truly a privilege to support and uplift our school community 💙🧡

Did you know that has a Senior Scholarship program? Every year the PTAs across help raise funds for this scholarship by donating a raffle basket.

This year, we’re incredibly grateful to for their generous donation to Taft PTA. Their Orange Blossom collection is the perfect complement to our Riverside themed basket, featuring items that are all locally made right here in our community. Who ever wins this one at the Awards & Carol Rude Scholarship Brunch tomorrow morning is in for a treat!

The Spring Book Fair is coming up next week! All classes will get the chance to visit on Monday or Tuesday. Students can make purchases at this time or create a wish list and return during recess later in the week to finalize their purchases.

Setting up an eWallet makes shopping the Book Fair easy for students. You can add funds and we will apply them when they check out.

Parents are also invited to shop the Book Fair the night of Art Walk on April 23rd!

The Spring Book Fair is just around the corner! Please join us as a volunteer to assist students with finding books and creating their wish lists. We will also be open during the Art Walk and need volunteers to help parents find books from their students wish list.

As the end of the year gets closer we’ve got some exciting things coming up. Keep an eye out on our social media for updates and reminders on this months activities.

REMINDER: Last day to purchase Yearbooks (4/10) is going to come by quick so dont forget to order as soon as possible.

April’s breakfast and lunch menu is here! Doors open at 8 for breakfast and don’t forget, breakfast and lunch is available at no cost to all RUSD students.

The end of the school year will be here before we know it. Now is the time to order your student(s) yearbook to be able to look back on all the memories for years to come.
