It was an incredible afternoon of conversation, learning, and community as we discussed immigration, policy, justice, and the real impact these systems have on people’s lives. We’re grateful for everyone who showed up, listened, shared space, and helped make the event so special.

A huge thank you to our amazing speakers and panelists: Amelia Frank-Vitale, Susan Coutin, Stephen Lee, Jennifer Chacón, Eva Bitrán, and organizers from Gente Organizada for bringing their knowledge, experience, and heart to the conversation.

Special thanks to Prof. Elizabeth Hanna Rubio and Prof. Cecilia Vasquez for organizing and moderating this event.

And thank you to all of our co-sponsors for helping make this gathering possible.

This spring break, students took learning beyond the classroom through the WRC Alternative Spring Break Trip to Palm Springs.

Organized by the Women’s Resource Center, the trip gave 14 undergraduate students the opportunity to explore women’s health in eastern Riverside County through hands-on experiences, community engagement, and critical learning.

From visiting health clinics and a domestic violence shelter to exploring the The Female Form exhibition, participating in volunteer work, and engaging in wellness activities, students examined issues of gender, sexuality, health disparities, and community care in meaningful ways.

We love seeing education, service, and community come together in transformative experiences like this. 💛

Thank you to for creating opportunities that empower students beyond campus.
