Dear Parents,
We are currently preparing for the 2023-2024 school year. Preschool enrollment packets will be available at Central Valley Preschool on May 22, 2023. Please return by June 2, 2023.

Your child must be 3 years old by December 2, 2023.

Earlier today, Fipps Primary School and Central Valley Preschool were placed in lockdown. A report to law enforcement was made stating that an adult may have been armed with a hunting rifle at a residence in the neighborhood adjacent to the campus. In exercising the greatest degree of caution, the students and staff entered into a lockdown situation. Teachers, staff, and site administrators responded well to keep the children in safe locations.

We appreciate the rapid response from the deputies of the Fresno County Sheriff's Department who arrived on the scene and surveyed the campus and surrounding areas to ensure there was no danger to students or staff at the school site. The lockdown was lifted once a safe environment was confirmed. Deputies consulted with district officials and remained in the area for the remainder of the school day through dismissal at all of our school sites.

The anxiety of students, parents, and educators following a circumstance such as this is understandable and justified. We will take some time to review the effectiveness of our response and will look for opportunities to learn from this event and implement improvements. Thank you.

We are currently preparing for the 2022-2023 school year. Preschool registration packets will be available at Central Valley Preschool the week of May 23rd-27th. Please return the packets to the Preschool by May 27th. Packets MUST have proof of income prior to turning them in.

Meals for all youth in the community will be available for pick-up each weekday at the Fipps Primary School cafeteria from 11:00-12:00 while summer school is in session.

Good afternoon Riverdale parents and students. As fog season approaches, please be aware that foggy days will look different than in prior years. If a foggy day is called, buses will be cancelled and all students, including those who typically walk or are dropped off by parents, will participate through distance learning from home for that day. The foggy day notification will be a Foggy Day Plan D. Thank you and have a nice weekend.
