Our final forest day! On a day when we thought thunderstorms would ruin our day, we only saw sun! It was perfect. The ere were beauty parlors, tattoo shops, and lots of critters.

More excitement this week, our ducklings hatched! We have 3 of the cutest duckling in our classroom! We ate lunch in our classroom on Tuesday so we could watch them hatch. But our hatching is not done yet… we still have a few more duck and chicken eggs in the incubator for next week. Yay!!

This is just a little snapshot of our morning. It was calm, the kids were all engaged in activities and conversation. These are my favorite times in the forest!

It was such a warm day to be in the forest! There was a lot of building, digging, jumping, and climbing. There were also a lot of ticks! The kids got very good at identifying and spotting ticks on their friends. At the end of the day they checked each other to make sure there were no ticks in their hair. It was a beautiful day to be outside!
