In Rio Hondo ISD’s continued endeavor to provide every one of our students with an education that is specialized for their needs, Region One was invited to train us on “Designated Supports and Supplemental Aids.” Core Content Teachers, Special Education Teachers, Administrators, and Counselors from across our district, along with our Special Services Department, were in attendance. We reviewed TEA’s 2022-2023 state assessment accessibility policies. We examined TEA guidelines and broke them down to understand the criteria for eligibility, explored examples, special considerations, appropriateness, and Instructions when using supports. We would like to thank everyone in attendance for their active participation and all they do for our students.
