🎉⚽ Rio Vista Early Head Start – Balls Case Study Celebration! 🏀🎾

What a fantastic day we had at our Rio Vista EHS Balls Case Study Celebration on Wednesday, July 15th! We were excited to welcome so many parents and families who joined us for an afternoon filled with fun ball games, hands-on activities, laughter, and learning alongside our amazing little learners.

Thank you to all of our families for your participation and continued support. A special thank you to our dedicated Rio Vista EHS staff and everyone who helped make this event such a wonderful success. Together, we’re creating meaningful learning experiences and building lasting memories for our children! 💙✨

At La Coma EHS, our children have enjoyed exploring our Creative Curriculum Study: Seats! Throughout this study, children investigated different types of seats, their purposes, and how they help people in everyday life. Through hands-on activities, dramatic play, art, books, and discussions, children developed their creativity, problem-solving skills, language, and critical thinking. We also created meaningful connections to our classroom train station, where children explored the importance of seats in transportation and community settings.

We are proud of our young learners for their curiosity, imagination, and enthusiasm throughout this exciting learning experience. Thank you to our families for supporting their children’s growth and learning every day!

¡En La Coma EHS, nuestros niños disfrutaron explorando nuestro Estudio del Currículo Creativo: Los Asientos! Durante este estudio, los niños investigaron diferentes tipos de asientos, sus usos y cómo ayudan a las personas en la vida diaria. A través de actividades prácticas, juego dramático, arte, libros y conversaciones, los niños desarrollaron su creatividad, habilidades para resolver problemas, lenguaje y pensamiento crítico. También realizaron conexiones significativas con nuestra estación de tren en el salón, explorando la importancia de los asientos en los medios de transporte y en los espacios comunitarios.

Family Friday – Week of the Young Child
A big thank you to our amazing teachers and families from La Coma HS/EHS who participated in Family Friday in support of Week of the Young Child—both here at the center and at home!
Objective: This activity supported language and literacy development by encouraging children and families to create and share stories using picture collages of their families. It also strengthened family connections, promoted self-identity, and encouraged children to express their ideas, experiences, and relationships through storytelling.
We appreciate the collaboration between our teachers and families in creating meaningful and personal learning experiences for our children!

A big thank you to our amazing teachers and families from La Coma HS/EHS who participated in Artsy Thursday in support of Week of the Young Child—both here at the center and at home!
Objective: This activity supported creativity and self-expression by encouraging children to explore different art materials, colors, and textures. It also promoted fine motor development and language skills as children described their artwork and shared their ideas.
We appreciate the collaboration between our teachers and families in creating meaningful and creative learning experiences for our children!

Work Together Wednesday – Week of the Young Child
A big thank you to our amazing teachers and families from La Coma HS/EHS who participated in Work Together Wednesday in support of Week of the Young Child—both here at the center and at home!
Objective: This activity supported social-emotional development by encouraging children to work together, share ideas, and take turns. It also promoted problem-solving skills, cooperation, and communication as children engaged in group activities and teamwork.
