As part of their community-based science instruction, students from The Scarlet Studio visited Jenkinson’s Aquarium in Point Pleasant. During the trip, they had the opportunity to engage with the touch tank and explore a variety of marine and aquatic life. Students also enjoyed time on the boardwalk and took in scenic views of the ocean, making the experience both educational and memorable. It was a great day to be a Scarlet!

RPPS students across the district had their work on display at the Every Day is Earth Day Festival hosted by the Ridgefield Park Environmental Commission this past Saturday. From Earth Day promises, to research posters on water pollution, air pollution, acid rain, and recycling, to recycling projects, the student work was a highlight of the day.
And it wasn't just the younger students representing RPPS. High school students volunteered their time to help with setup, cleanup, and the welcome table, making sure the day ran smoothly for everyone who attended.
We're proud of our students for taking environmental stewardship seriously, both inside the classroom and out in the community.
Thank you to the Ridgefield Park Environmental Commission for including our schools and for all the work they do throughout the year.

Students, teachers, administrators, and community leaders gathered on April 30th for Lens on the Preserve, a student photography award ceremony celebrating photos taken at the Ridgefield Park Nature Preserve. Mayor MacNeill, Commissioner Anlian, and Environmental Commission Chair Steve Quinn joined members of the Environmental Commission to honor student winners from all three seasonal rounds of the contest. The morning wrapped up with live in-person voting for the Spring round. A special thank you to the RP Environmental Commission for their support throughout the year, and the CHiRP Café for preparing a special menu to cater the event.

The Annual RPJSHS Student Showcase gave our community a front-row seat to the talent, innovation, and character our students bring to everything they do. Guests moved through the building taking in live performances, artwork, films, culinary creations, club presentations, and an aviation demo - each one a reflection of students who invested in their education and their futures. Mayor MacNeill joined students for a Coffee with the Mayor hosted by the CHIRP Cafe, giving him a chance to spend some time with students and hear what they're working on.
Thank you to our students, staff, and everyone who showed up to support them.
