Have you visited the Ridgefield Park Nature Preserve this summer? While you're there, make sure to check out the winning photos from Lens on the Preserve, on display at the kiosk at the entrance closest to the high school. The contest invited students to submit photos taken at the preserve throughout the year, with a winner chosen each season. Congratulations again to our student winners: Julian (Fall), Zachary (Winter), and Brenden (Spring).

Take a walk down the trails while you're there, you might capture a great shot of your own.

Ridgefield Park students, families, and staff celebrated the Village's 132nd annual 4th of July celebration this year!

Students from across the district took part in the Queen's Honor Court, with RPJSHS students serving as Queen, Prime Minister, Lady in Waiting, and Usher. All three elementary schools, Grant, Lincoln, and Roosevelt, were also represented on the Honor Float, with students serving as Honor Escorts and Pages.

Roosevelt School's float took home the trophy for Most Patriotic Float, and the Board of Education and district administrators marched in the Civic Parade alongside the community.

This year's program cover artwork was created entirely by RPJSHS students: Starli (11th grade) for the front cover, Ava (9th grade) for 2nd place, and Eleni (9th grade) for the inside back cover.

Thank you to everyone who came out to march, wave, and cheer all along the route!

As part of their community-based science instruction, students from The Scarlet Studio visited Jenkinson’s Aquarium in Point Pleasant. During the trip, they had the opportunity to engage with the touch tank and explore a variety of marine and aquatic life. Students also enjoyed time on the boardwalk and took in scenic views of the ocean, making the experience both educational and memorable. It was a great day to be a Scarlet!

RPPS students across the district had their work on display at the Every Day is Earth Day Festival hosted by the Ridgefield Park Environmental Commission this past Saturday. From Earth Day promises, to research posters on water pollution, air pollution, acid rain, and recycling, to recycling projects, the student work was a highlight of the day.

And it wasn't just the younger students representing RPPS. High school students volunteered their time to help with setup, cleanup, and the welcome table, making sure the day ran smoothly for everyone who attended.

We're proud of our students for taking environmental stewardship seriously, both inside the classroom and out in the community.

Thank you to the Ridgefield Park Environmental Commission for including our schools and for all the work they do throughout the year.
