Hello Scholars!!!!! Today is National Kindergarten Day!!!! Kindergarten is a German word which means children’s garden. In Kindergarten, there’s lots of singing, dancing and free play which helps to develop academic and social skills!!! These skills help children prepare for elementary school!!! According to autismspeaks.org, here is why....
Autism, or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), refers to a broad range of conditions characterized by challenges with social skills, repetitive behaviors, speech and nonverbal communication. According to the Centers for Disease Control, autism affects an estimated 1 in 44 children in the United States today.

In honor of this day please give a shout out to a loved one who has autism!!!! We at YSLC supports autism!!!!!

Hi Scholars!! Today is National PI Day!! The formula for PI is 3.14 and you would use that number along with the radius or diameter in order to find the circumference of a circumference(the distance around) a circle.
See the examples below.

Using the formula above (method 2 of 2), find the circumference of a circle with a radius of 15 inches. The first scholar to email us with the correct answer will get a prize!! Good luck!!!
