The CPCU Society is committed to providing resources, educational programs and Richmond CPCU Society Chapter leadership opportunities that attract talent and enable individuals to expand their technical insurance sk
ills and business capabilities in order to improve the overall performance of the insurance industry while adhering to the highest ethical standards. The Richmond CPCU Society Chapter members hold the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU®) designation, which is conferred by The Institutes and requires passing rigorous undergraduate- and graduate-level exams, meeting an experience requirement, and agreeing to be bound by a strict code of professional ethics. The Richmond CPCU chapter is comprised of over 350 insurance professionals in the Richmond, Virginia area who have or are pursuing their Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter designation. The CPCU designation is conferred upon property and casualty insurance professionals who have fulfilled the following qualifications. Served the Insurance Industry for five or more years
Completed a rigorous series of examinations on insurance-related topics
Agreed to live and work by a Code of Ethics
