WDS is a licensed and nationally accredited preschool program, providing full-time care for Two's - Kindergarten students and an after school program for Kindergarten - 5th Graders! Since 1953, Westhampton Day School has been a mission of Westhampton United Methodist Church in their endeavors to support and be an actively contributing member of their community. Our philosophy and goals are derived

from Virginia's Foundation Blocks for Early Learning. These allow the educators at WDS to provide learning experiences that reflect conceptual knowledge and critical thinking, basic developmentally appropriate academic skills, and relevant hands-on learning encounters that emerge from life experiences.

Last week I ran into Ms. Brittany and her friends as they were headed out to the green space to take a picture for weather week. I decided to follow them out there to take a picture myself and enjoy the sunshine. I discovered that they weren't the only friends outside in the name of Weather week, Ms. Jeanne's crew played on the other side discovering the effects of wind and shade and shadows. I'm just glad I didn't miss all the fun! ☀️☂🍃🐳

Last week some of our amazing after schoolers dropped off donations to Goochland Cares food pantry! They even stuck around for a little while and volunteered their time while they were there. Thanks to our amazing WDS community we were able to donate 236 lbs of household items! Thank you to everyone!❤️🐳

What a blast all of our WDS Families had on Tuesday night! We Celebrated St. Patrick's Day together at our first ever Shamrock Shuffle! It was such a hit, I have a feeling this will become a tradition! Thanks so much to our awesome SPLASH team for putting this wonderful event together! 🍀💚🇨🇮
