Richmond Area Mensa (RAM) is a local group of American Mensa. Our geographical area is central Virginia and spans roughly from north of Fredericksburg through Richmond and to the southern boundary of Williamsburg. There are about 300 members in this area. In general, we score high in tests of intelligence and live in central Virginia. We are uncommon, opinionated, curious, have short learning curv

es, and long attention spans. Members come from any faith (or none) and from all backgrounds. Our members range in age from 8 to 88 and include CEOs, artists, writers, teachers, computer programmers, lawyers, doctors, accountants, retirees, and religious leaders.

Still pinching myself from this amazing event in NYC! I had the incredible honor of being asked by author and friend Adriana Trigiani to create a diorama for Senator Tim Kaine in honor of his wonderful book, Walk, Ride, Paddle. Always fun to see Adriana, but even more fun to go with my friend Kitty Gravitt!! Senator Kaine and his family were so kind -- and genuinely nice people. Grateful to have this opportunity of a lifetime! 🥰😍

In the "you are never too old to learn" department.... I took piano lessons this year after a 44-year break from playing, and had my first piano recital (with a bunch of much younger players 😜) last Saturday! Lucky for me I had the amazing (and patient) Sylvia Cooper for a teacher. I played Bach's Minuet in G Major and Rodger's Edelweiss. Very nerve-wracking but fun to achieve one of my goals in life. 🥰
