In light of the City Council's adopted goals and priorities as of September 27, 2023, concern arises among residents who feel unrepresented and unsafe notwithstanding the Council's initiatives for 'Ice-Free Zones' and an alert system. Will the Council make certain its actions are beneficial to every resident? What makes prioritizing everyone's safety so difficult, and why do we focus on select emergencies while overlooking others that impact the entire community? The current composition of the City Council appears to favor certain communities, suggesting the need for citizens to speak up at council meetings due to persistent disregard for everyone concerns.
