Cub Scout Pack 861 Bon Air

Safe to say our Scout Movie Night was another success. Amazing job, and a huge congrats to all the scouts on a job well done for our annual food drive collection!!!

Annual Bear's Carnival was another rousing success. Thanks to the Bears den, thier families, our fearless leaders, and our Weblos and Arrow of Light den for helping out for the evening!! 🎪🎡🎠🎢🎈

Another FANTASTIC camping trip for Pack 861's first trip of the scouting year. Weather was great, water was perfect, and we learned about turtles and snakes. Can't beat that!!

It may have been rainy and wet, but you can't keep this group down. I bet we're all counting down the days until September and our next Pack camping trip. Always fun with 861!!!

Well the rain came and went (a few times), but we still made the best of it, and had a blast doing so at our Pack 861 outdoor movie night. Also another HUGE shout out to the pack for collecting another AMAZING amount of food for our Scouting for Food annual food drive. You all are rock stars!!!!

And one more special shout out to Woodmont Recreation Association for hosting!

Thank you so much to Packard's Rock Shop for hosting our Wolves Den on Monday night. The kids had a blast (and looks like our Cub Master did too) checking out arrow heads, glowing rocks, Megalodon teeth, and even dinosaur p**p. This was a great finish for our "Digging in the Past" belt loop!!

Thank you you SO much to the Virginia Living Museum for hosting Pack 861's annual museum campout (in?) this past weekend. The kids (and let's be honest, the adults as well) had a blast with all the cool science experiments, planetarium shows, and sleeping next to the animals. Until next year!!!!

Thank you to all who were able to participate in Wreaths Across America at Richmond National Cemetery. This meaningful event is a way for our scouts to honor our fallen Military Heroes. Our pack had the honor of meeting with the Governor, leading the Pledge of Allegiance, and even assisted in wreath laying on the soldiers graves. A truly wonderful experience for our Scouts.

Pack 861 had an out of this world experience this past weekend during the annual Star Party at James River State Park. We saw Jupiter and Saturn, we shivered, we cleaned some trails, we conquered!! Always a great time with this crew

A special thanks to Forest View Volunteer Rescue Squad for coming out last Monday to teach our Bears, Weblos, and Arrow of Light scouts about what you do and how you help those in need. They had a blast, and worked towards their Building a Better World achievement.

Thanks to all that came out to help clean up Pony Pasture on this beautiful November Saturday. You all rock!!!
