Quick Update on RVA Cuban Dance: The name has changed to Timbanauts, but the idea remains the same — bringing people together through dance. 🇨🇺

Because of my move back to Germany, you’ll now occasionally see posts here about classes and events in Berlin and Nauen, but Richmond will always be home. I’m back a couple of times each year, so there may still be occasional RVA classes and events shared here. The new logo and Facebook cover images continue to reference Richmond while also bringing in elements from Berlin and nearby Nauen. My hope is that Timbanauts can help build an ongoing Berlin–Richmond dance connection. 🌎🚀

Thanks to everyone in the Richmond dance community who supported RVA Cuban Dance, especially Kristy Rizzo and the rest of the River City Rueda teaching crew (Gerardo Ayala, Franco Guillen Camilli, and Jess); Ruddy and Rachel with RVA Bachata; Noelle and Cam with Bailamos RVA; and Mel Anie / Thomas Foster for all their help setting up parties. 🙏

We Have a New Name!

We’re excited to announce that "Havana Social RVA" is now "RVA Cuban Dance"!
Why the change you ask? The new name better represents our mission: building a vibrant community around Cuban dance, music, and culture right here in Richmond.

Other than the name and a small update to our logo, nothing else has changed. Thank you for being part of this journey as we continue growing and sharing the joy of Cuban dance!
