The Eastern Province of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., is inviting each NPHC organization to join them in supporting a powerful and meaningful cause: the Virtual 5K Walk/Run Fundraiser benefiting the Ora Lee Smith Cancer Research Foundation on Sunday, July 12, 2026, in Petersburg, Virginia.

All NPHC chapters, family, friends and supporters are encouraged to participate—walking or running – in honor of those affected by cancer and in support of groundbreaking, life‑saving research led by the Ora Lee Smith Cancer Research Foundation.

Sigma Gamma Rho Swim 1922 Water Safety Clinic

Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority/Iota Sigma Chapter, in collaboration with the YMCA of Greater Richmond, will be hosting a Swim 1922 Water Safety Clinic on Sunday, June 28 at the Frank Thornton Aquatic Center (3201 Watts Lane, Richmond 23223), beginning at 9 a.m.

Water safety isn’t just about swimming — it’s also about awareness. Swim 1922 promotes comprehensive water safety education across our communities, from understanding pool rules to recognizing water hazards. The chapter is equipping families with the tools, confidence, and awareness they need to stay safe in and around water.

UNCF Walk for Education

UNCF-Virginia invites members to participate in the UNCF Walk for Education on Saturday, September 12, 2026 at Byrd Park. The Walk fuels scholarships and critical support for our HBCUs, helping students get to and through college.

The goal is to raise $30,000 locally.

Registration & check-in starts at 8 a.m., with the walk starting at 9 a.m. Members are encouraged to register their chapter teams, rally members and alumni, and compete for top participation/fundraising recognition.

The National Pan Hellenic Council and Black Health Matters are hosting a national webinar titled “Our Health, Our Terms: Solving the Lupus and Multiple Sclerosis Mystery” on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, from 7:30–8:45 PM EST. This event features leading medical experts and advocate Jennifer Holliday, and it is designed specifically to empower Black audiences with the knowledge needed to take charge of their health.

From powerful health resources and community wellness organizations to nonstop music, dancing, and fellowship — the AJ Coley Health Fair sponsored by Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. Iota Sigma Chapter brought the community together in a BIG way! 💙🤍

Families connected with local health professionals, attendees received valuable wellness information, and the energy stayed high all day with line dancing, great music, and unforgettable vibes! This wasn’t just an event — it was a celebration of health, unity, culture, and community impact.

A huge thank you to every organization, volunteer, vendor, and attendee who helped make this event a total success. Richmond showed up and showed out! 🙌🏾
