Happy Mother’s Day to every mama, bonus mama, grandma, auntie, big sister, godmom, and every woman who shows up with love, patience, and protection. Today is for you.
This Mother’s Day hits different for me… because it’s my very first one. And I’m honestly still trying to find the words for what that means. Becoming a mother has been one of the most beautiful, humbling, heart-stretching experiences of my life. It has changed the way I see everything love, time, sacrifice, purpose, and even myself.
But what’s been on my heart the most today is this: I didn’t become “me” as a mother overnight. I’ve been learning motherhood in pieces for years.
I’ve been in this childcare business for nine years, and in that time, so many families have trusted me with their most precious people. Your babies. Your Tiny Humans. Your routines, your preferences, your worries, your hopes. You let me into your worlds not just as “the childcare provider,” but as someone who gets to be part of your village. And I will never take that lightly.
Over the years, I’ve watched first steps, first words, first days of school, first big emotions, and all the little moments that don’t make it into photos but live forever in your heart. I’ve held sleepy heads on my shoulder, wiped tears, celebrated milestones, and learned how to stay steady when a child needed calm more than anything. I’ve learned how to love with structure, how to lead with gentleness, and how to show up even on the days when life is heavy.
And the truth is… because of my families, I’m a better mother.
Every family I’ve worked with has taught me something about patience, communication, boundaries, consistency, and the kind of love that shows up again and again. You’ve taught me how to listen more closely, how to move with intention, how to be present, and how to love children as whole people from the very beginning. You’ve allowed me to grow in real time, and I carried those lessons with me into my own motherhood.
So today, I’m celebrating you… but I’m also thanking you.
Thank you for trusting me.
Thank you for welcoming me.
Thank you for the grace you’ve shown me while I learned and grew.
Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your family’s story.
And to the mothers who are in the thick of it — exhausted, overwhelmed, trying to do everything “right” I just want to say: you are doing more than enough. Your love matters. Your presence matters. Your effort matters. Even when it doesn’t feel seen.
To the mothers who are missing someone today, grieving, longing, or navigating complicated emotions I’m holding space for you too. Mother’s Day can be beautiful and heavy at the same time, and both can be true.
From the bottom of my heart: Happy Mother’s Day. I love you, I appreciate you, and I’m honored to be part of the village for so many of you. Thank you for helping shape me not only as a business owner, but as a woman and now as a mother.
With love always, Ms. B’s
