Happy Mother’s Day to every mama, bonus mama, grandma, auntie, big sister, godmom, and every woman who shows up with love, patience, and protection. Today is for you.

This Mother’s Day hits different for me… because it’s my very first one. And I’m honestly still trying to find the words for what that means. Becoming a mother has been one of the most beautiful, humbling, heart-stretching experiences of my life. It has changed the way I see everything love, time, sacrifice, purpose, and even myself.

But what’s been on my heart the most today is this: I didn’t become “me” as a mother overnight. I’ve been learning motherhood in pieces for years.

I’ve been in this childcare business for nine years, and in that time, so many families have trusted me with their most precious people. Your babies. Your Tiny Humans. Your routines, your preferences, your worries, your hopes. You let me into your worlds not just as “the childcare provider,” but as someone who gets to be part of your village. And I will never take that lightly.

Over the years, I’ve watched first steps, first words, first days of school, first big emotions, and all the little moments that don’t make it into photos but live forever in your heart. I’ve held sleepy heads on my shoulder, wiped tears, celebrated milestones, and learned how to stay steady when a child needed calm more than anything. I’ve learned how to love with structure, how to lead with gentleness, and how to show up even on the days when life is heavy.

And the truth is… because of my families, I’m a better mother.

Every family I’ve worked with has taught me something about patience, communication, boundaries, consistency, and the kind of love that shows up again and again. You’ve taught me how to listen more closely, how to move with intention, how to be present, and how to love children as whole people from the very beginning. You’ve allowed me to grow in real time, and I carried those lessons with me into my own motherhood.

So today, I’m celebrating you… but I’m also thanking you.

Thank you for trusting me.
Thank you for welcoming me.
Thank you for the grace you’ve shown me while I learned and grew.
Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your family’s story.

And to the mothers who are in the thick of it — exhausted, overwhelmed, trying to do everything “right” I just want to say: you are doing more than enough. Your love matters. Your presence matters. Your effort matters. Even when it doesn’t feel seen.

To the mothers who are missing someone today, grieving, longing, or navigating complicated emotions I’m holding space for you too. Mother’s Day can be beautiful and heavy at the same time, and both can be true.

From the bottom of my heart: Happy Mother’s Day. I love you, I appreciate you, and I’m honored to be part of the village for so many of you. Thank you for helping shape me not only as a business owner, but as a woman and now as a mother.

With love always, Ms. B’s

Happy Cinco de Mayo!

Today is a great chance to introduce our Tiny Humans to new sounds, colors, and traditions in a simple, age-appropriate way through music, books, pretend play, and yummy (kid-friendly) flavors.

Cinco de Mayo is a day that honors Mexico’s victory at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862 a moment in history that’s often remembered as a celebration of resilience, courage, and community. And while our Tiny Humans don’t need a full history lesson, they *can* experience the joy of learning about different cultures in a way that feels fun, gentle, and meaningful.

If you’re celebrating at home, keep it easy: a little dance party, a themed craft, or a story that highlights culture and togetherness can go a long way.

How are you celebrating today?

May the 4th be with you✨

Today we’re celebrating all things Star Wars imagination, adventure, bravery, and believing you can do hard things (even when you’re a very small Jedi in training).

For our Tiny Humans, days like this are such a fun reminder that play is powerful. Whether they’re building “spaceships” out of blocks, practicing gentle “lightsaber” moves with pool noodles, or going on a galaxy scavenger hunt around the house… it all supports creativity, problem-solving, and confidence.

If you’re celebrating at home today, here are a few easy, little-kid-friendly ideas:

- “Yoda says…” (Simon Says, but with Yoda)

- Star sorting (cut out paper stars and sort by color/size)

- Space walk dance party (freeze dance with “space music”)

- Story time: pick a favorite book and call it your “Jedi reading mission”

🐝 Bee Smart: Tip of the Month
“Name it to tame it” (Big feelings + gentle language!)

Spring can bring new routines, more outings, and lots of stimulation which can mean more BIG feelings for our Tiny Humans. One of the most powerful tools you can use (even with infants!) is emotion labeling: calmly naming what your child may be feeling and what’s happening in their body.

Try phrases like:
- “You’re feeling frustrated. That’s hard.”
- “You wanted the toy. You’re upset.”
- “Your body is tired. Let’s take a break.”

This supports:
- Emotional regulation
- Language development
- Social-emotional connection
- Trust and secure attachment

Little by little, your Tiny Human learns: “My feelings are safe here.” You’re doing amazing keep showing up with that steady, loving calm. 💛

🐝 Bee Active: Activity Spotlight
“Seed Sprout Watch” (Tiny Garden Scientists!)🌱👶🏽

Turn your kitchen into a mini science lab with this super simple sprouting activity!

What you’ll do:
- Place a damp paper towel in a clear zip bag or clear cup.
- Add a few large seeds (like bean seeds) and press them gently against the side so your Tiny Human can see them.
- Tape the bag/cup to a sunny window and check it each day together.

This supports:
Curiosity + early science skills, language development, patience/routine-building, and observation skills.

📖 Buzz-worthy Book

Up in the Garden and Down in the Dirt
by Kate Messner🌱

This is a beautiful, gentle book that shows what’s happening in the garden above ground—and all the busy, important work happening underneath the soil too. It’s a lovely spring read for toddlers, and infants will enjoy the rhythm of your voice and the colorful nature scenes. Grab it from the local library or add it to your home collection for a cozy, seasonal storytime. 💛📚

🎵 Hum of the Hive
“The Itsy Bitsy Spider”🕷️☀️

The itsy bitsy spider went up the water spout.
Down came the rain and washed the spider out.
Out came the sun and dried up all the rain,
And the itsy bitsy spider went up the spout again.

Fun tip: Use your fingers to “climb” up your Tiny Human’s arm like the spider, then do gentle tickles for the rain and big open arms for the sunshine. Sing it slow for babies and add motions for toddlers instant giggles guaranteed. 🐝

🍯 Bee's Kitchen
“Garden Rainbow Snack Cups”🥒🍓🫐🍯

- 🍓 Strawberries (chopped small)
- 🫐 Blueberries (smashed for younger toddlers)
- 🥒 Cucumber (thin sticks or tiny cubes)

Art strolls with Tiny Humans are always a YES over here 🖼️🐝

Introducing art early isn’t about “making an artist”… it’s about building little brains and big confidence. When babies and toddlers look at art, they’re practicing so many important skills at once:
🎨 noticing colors, shapes, and patterns
🧠 building language (pointing, naming, describing)
💛 learning to slow down, observe, and feel
✨ expressing themselves without needing “the right words”

Even a simple moment like standing together and looking at a piece on the wall becomes connection, curiosity, and learning.

What’s your Tiny Human’s favorite thing to look at right now: colors, faces, animals, or shapes? Tell me below 👇🏾

Last night was Spa Night with one of my older Tiny Humans—and let me tell you, it was much needed! 💅🧖🏽‍♀️✨

We pampered our hands, soaked our feet, and even gave our hair a little extra love. It was full of giggles, self-care, and sweet conversation. Sometimes the best memories come from the simplest moments. 💜

At Ms. B’s, we’re not just about routines—we’re about connection, creativity, and making every day feel a little special. 💫

There’s something so special about holding a tiny human while they nap. 🥰

Right now, they fit perfectly in my lap — small, peaceful, and completely content. I don’t take these quiet moments for granted because I know they won’t always be this small. One day, they’ll outgrow my lap, and naps snuggled up on me will just be a memory.

But for now, I’m grateful. Grateful that they feel safe enough to drift off to sleep in my arms. Grateful for the trust and comfort these little ones find in my care.

These are the moments that make this work so meaningful.

Look at her little hand holding my thumb 🥺
