Self-care isn't selfish; it's revolutionary. As Audre Lorde wisely said, 'Caring for myself is not self-indulgence, it is self-preservation and that is an act of political warfare.'

During our spring conference, we emphasized the significance of activities programs for older adults to boost their social engagement. Social isolation presents severe health risks for millions of older adults, including elevated blood pressure and heightened stroke risk. This , prioritize connections for improved health.

Burnout is a reminder that we're human, not machines. It's okay to take breaks, seek support, and prioritize self-care. Remember, you're not alone in this journey. We're here to support each other through the highs and lows.

DID YOU KNOW?
The term Compassion fatigue was Introduced into the literature by a nurse and researcher named Carla Joinson in 1992, and was further developed and expanded upon by Charles Figley in 1995. CF is the multidimensional exhaustion that occurs from the energy required to provide a compassionate response, and the need for continuous action to relieve or reduce the suffering of others.
