LAST CALL FOR TOMORROW! 🎨 Level up your Sunday afternoon with Iron Village Prep.

We’re taking over the pavilion at Park365 for an Upcycled Street Art & Remixing Hangout!

We’re supplying thrifted art canvases, Posca paint pens, liquid chalk, stencils, lawn games, cold drinks, and good tunes. Kids (Rising K through 8th grade) and parents are all diving in together to create custom pieces based on our community pillars and RVA heritage.

Great news! The VA DEQ forecasts significantly better air quality tomorrow morning, so our Summer Meetup at Three Lakes Park is officially STILL ON at 10:00 AM!

The safety and health of our children is always our highest priority. We will monitor the live metrics first thing in the morning—if the air quality unexpectedly takes a sharp turn into the unhealthy "Red" zone, we will send a cancellation alert by 7:30 AM.

Otherwise, we are ready to roll!

We are so incredibly excited to see you all tomorrow morning for some fun nature exploration and great community time!

From our early camp days to the bright future ahead, some partners leave an indelible footprint on our hearts.

Today, we are kicking off our Partner Gratitude Series by honoring the incredible Tia Javier and her speech therapy practice, Bilinguatherapy ! 🤎✨

Tia has poured into Iron Village Preparatory Academy since the very beginning. For years, she has brought Afrolatino culture to life for our campers, teaching them the beauty of heritage and community. But her impact goes even deeper. Thanks to her dedicated partnership, our students and families have had vital access to essential speech therapy resources and screenings.

Tia’s generous financial support is the exact reason we were able to include Spanish during our very first year. And now, because of her continued belief in our mission, we are expanding our language programming to include both Spanish and Mandarin!

💧 K-3rd Grade (The Innovators): We'll be taking scoops of pond water to identify living critters up close (tadpoles, snails, algae!) before hitting the playground.

📱 4th-8th Grade (The Trailblazers): A fast-paced, smartphone strategy race identifying micro-organisms and mapping erosion to win a premium IVP Gear Pack.

Looking for some free, high-quality weekend activities for your kids this July?Join Iron Village Prep for our upcoming Summer Meetups!

We are a K-8 environment, which means we design experiences that appeal to the whole family. No boring lectures—just cool projects and casual hangouts.

K–3rd Graders will dive into guided biology and art projects like pond-water critter identification and giant 3D brick building.

4th–8th Graders can tackle a fast-paced, smartphone-guided "Bio-Blitz" strategy race for a premium IVP prize pack, design custom street art using pro liquid chalk markers, or just hang out at our lawn-game perimeter with Spikeball, Co****le, and music.

1️⃣ Sat, July 18 (10am–12pm) at Three Lakes Park (Meet us at the large pavilion by the playground!)
2️⃣ Wed, July 22 (7pm–8pm) on Zoom (Virtual Curriculum Blueprint & Q&A)
3️⃣ Sun, July 26 (3pm–5pm) at Park365 (We have 3 reserved tables near the pavilion for our collaborative Graffiti Wall Build! Bring a water bottle to use at our cooling station!)

How do you get kids excited to jump out of bed on August 24th? You give them a choice and a voice. Right now, our enrolled K-3 Innovators at Iron Village Prep are doing something pretty unique—they are actively voting to choose their own First Quarter Group Elective.

Take a look at what’s currently battling it out on their fall ballot:

Game Design (Logic & Board Games): Before they code on screens, they master game logic by designing physical board games, drafting rules, and building worlds.

Astronomy (Space Explorers): A hands-on, interactive journey through the cosmos featuring pocket-solar-system builds and aerospace storytelling.

Dance & Creative Movement: A high-energy class focusing on rhythm, coordination, and building incredible physical confidence.

Movie Making (Stop-Motion & Digital Stories): Young directors bringing stories to life using tablets for claymation, Lego stop-motion, and green-screen magic.

This is what happens when you treat young learners like the capable, curious innovators they are.
