2025 has been a wild ride! After 10+ years helping leaders navigate big pivots, this year I found myself in one.

Last fall, everything shifted at once:

✨ Launched a focused Business Alignment Accelerator

🏡 Fulfilled my dream of owning real estate in Oakland

🌿 Stepped into a leadership role in my business community

At the same time, a new U.S. presidency was stirring fear and uncertainty across the Bay Area. (Remember Election Day 2024?)

By spring, every conversation revealed instability in businesses large and small, including my own: revenue down, contracts ending, clients pulling out. Business owners hesitated to invest. Employees braced for layoffs.

We all faced the same question: 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗿 𝗽𝗶𝘃𝗼𝘁?

And how do you decide from empowerment, not panic?

When I needed direction, I turned to my story.

- Where do I come from?
- How did I become the Mae of today?
- How do I envision my life in 10 years?

My story reminded me why I’m here: to help people live their mission through meaningful, fulfilling work.

My power is to take action more BOLDLY while holding loosely to the result. It’s a slippery balance based on TRUST in ultimate goodness in me, you, and Creator. It’s how I dance with fear and disappointment yet remain devoted to creating the big impact I want to make while I’m still here.

I loved my travels AND what a relief to sleep in my own bed in Oakland, California.

While our feeds are filled with far-flung destinations, let me be the one post in the scroll extolling the virtues of planting roots in one place. As long as we live in bodies, our greatest impact will be where our bodies are. Our neighbors are our teachers if we choose to stay engaged.
