More than just a safe place to play 💛
KCSG Supported Playgroups are about so much more than giving children a safe place to play.
For young children impacted by cancer and blood disorders, and their brothers and sisters, playgroup offers a safe and welcoming space where they can simply be children....to play, laugh, create, make friends and feel a sense of belonging.
But we know it’s important that you don’t just hear that from us.
Hearing directly from parents and carers about what playgroup means to their families is incredibly valuable. Their experiences help us understand what is working, what matters most, and how playgroup can continue to support children and families in meaningful ways.
For some families, it may be about:
🌈 Building friendships and confidence
🧸 Having fun and experiencing a sense of normality
💛 Feeling understood and connected to others who have similar experiences
🤝 Giving siblings their own space to connect and be supported
🌱 Having a safe, supportive environment to explore and grow
🫂 Connecting with other parents/carers and reducing isolation
📚 Accessing support and resources that are meaningful to you
Your feedback matters.
If your family attends KCSG Supported Playgroups we always love to hear what you think....what you value, what you would like to see more of, or how we could shape playgroup to better meet the needs of your children and family.
Because the best way to make playgroup meaningful is to listen to the families who are part of it. 💛
More than just a safe place to play.
A community of support and a place to belong.
