As demand grows for welders, shipbuilders, healthcare workers, and HVAC technicians across Virginia, Tidewater Community College is rolling out a streamlined apprenticeship program aimed at connecting residents directly to high-paying, high-demand careers.

The college’s expanded sponsored state-registered apprenticeship model combines classroom instruction with paid, hands-on training.

School leaders say the approach is designed to simplify the process for employers while giving students a clear path from education to employment.

As I now live on both sides of K-12 and adult education. We should be pushing students to be in vocational schools and degrees. 18-25 should be students not going to 4 year colleges but either stacking Certifications, going to specialized vocational training were there are apprentices and gaining specialized skills.

This creates better employees, jobs and more! Student should be learning the technology within there specific fields and getting certified in those.

Student should be looking into how employers can pay for their education.

This is what african and carribbean countries should be working on in there schools. Vocational training and having students stack or apprenticeships.
