The Blooming Garden Children's Academy

So much gingerbread fun last week!! Our students got to mix together dough to create their own gingerbread man ornaments. They also had some fun making puffy paint to look like frosting to decorate some gingerbread-friends.

We have had a wonderful Fall at The Blooming Garden Children's Academy! Our students are learning, having fun, and enjoying the friendships they have made this year!

Happy Thanksgiving from The Blooming Garden! We hope everyone has a wonderful day with all their loved ones. We are so thankful for all our families. Seeing our students grow everyday is something we will always be thankful for.

Both our preschool and PreK classes have had some fun days exploring pumpkins this fall! Our PreK class also had a super fun field trip / learning experience at Mikes Farm.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!! We wish everyone a very fun and safe night!!! Our students had a blast at their Halloween parties. We absolutely loved seeing everyone all dressed up!

October has been flying by! This month our students have learned about butterflies, dinosaurs, community helpers and fire safety. We even had a special visit from the Richlands Volunteer Fire Department. Our PreK students were so excited to meet our local fire fighters and get a chance to try out the hose!

We are looking for a few more students to join us in our afternoon preschool program starting in October! Message us for more information!

What a brilliant group of little scientists we had this week 🧬🧪!
Our campers discovered rocks, stirred together slime, painted with erupting water colors, learned about chemical reactions, created their own wave in a jar and our favorite - elephant toothpaste!! Thank you to everyone who signed up for camps this summer. We hope there were lots of fun memories made!

The Blooming Garden has a brand new play ground! Our group of campers today were the first to test it out. They absolutely loved the new sandbox, monkey bars, balance beam and of course the swings & slide.

Our campers had a roaring good time at Dino Camp this week! We learned about a new dinosaur everyday, made fossils, hatched some dinosaurs out of ice eggs, and erupted a volcano that turned into slime!

Last Day Lū’au 🌺. We celebrated our last day with class awards, crafts, lots of dancing & hugs! What a great year we had. We will miss our students so much!

Our students got to enjoy a healthy and refreshing snack courtesy of our very own garden! In February we planted some seeds - and now we are seeing fruits and veggies pop up all over our school yard. Their hard work and patience was definitely rewarded during recess 🍅 🫑 🌞.

It’s getting hot outside, but our students kept it cool during ice cream week! Both classes made ice cream in a bag. Not only was it fun & delicious but the teachers were able to sneak in some math and science lessons in the process 😉 🍨 .

After learning about zoo animals all week, our Pre-K class had their first field trip. It was such a fun day! Thank you to all our parent helpers - and a huge thank you to Lynwood Park Zoo for giving these kids an unforgettable experience!

The Blooming Garden Children's Academy Nursery

There was so much fun and learning happening during Read Across America Week last week! Our students loved the silly themed days and our teachers loved seeing their creativity shine all week long.

What a sweet week our students had at The Blooming Garden. We started off with a Valentine’s Day party on Monday and continued to learn about friendship all week long. Our sight word of the week was love, so we created books about activities we love to do. We also found many fun uses for sweet heart candies, such as working on addition and a fun science project!

It may be the middle of winter, but here at The Blooming Garden, the beach was on our minds during ocean week! We discovered and classified sea shells, solved some fish math, used our fine motor skills to give jelly fish their tentacles and made oceans in a jar! One of the favorite activities was our sloth VS shark facts game. Let’s just say these kiddos really favor the shark🦈 !

This week was “All About Me”. Our students enjoyed learning about their 5 senses, and other amazing qualities that make each of them so unique and important ♥️

The first week back after winter break was filled with new friends, learning, and fun, winter activities. We are so happy to be back with our students, and look forward to many more weeks of learning this year!
