Nevada Esports collegiate team recruitment is open for Fall 2026.

We field seven competitive teams representing the University of Nevada, Reno: League of Legends, Valorant, Rocket League, Marvel Rivals, Overwatch 2, Smash Ultimate, and Team Fortress 2. Roster spots are earned through tryouts, and the pipeline is open now.

Roughly where we're aiming: League of Legends Diamond I, Valorant Ascendant, Rocket League Grand Champion I, Marvel Rivals Grandmaster, Overwatch 2 Diamond with Master preferred. Smash Ultimate and Team Fortress 2 have no ranked ladder, so those go by bracket results and league division.

These are goals, not cutoffs. Nobody gets cut for sitting below one, and a player who is a rank short and climbing is still worth trying out. The commitment is up to 10 hours a week of scheduled team time during the season plus your own ranked play, and we schedule around the availability players give us. Students first. Trying out costs nothing, and not making a roster changes nothing about your standing in the club.

🌱Clean out your inventory and earn a chance to win new Logitech peripherals by joining us on April 15 & 29 from 12:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. on the KC lawn!

We're teaming up with the University’s Waste Management team from the Environmental Health & Safety department of Research & Innovation!

♻️We’ll be helping students recycle e-waste (old phones, defunct charging cords, keyboards, headphones, and computer mice) to celebrate Earth day and make space in our inventories for the adventures ahead!

🫴💾We’re also taking donations! If you have functional tech, or tech that can’t be recycled, think about donating to the club! If you have monitors, keyboards, controllers, games or whatever else you can think of—we’ll gladly take it off your hands! And if we find we have a surplus of these items they will also be recycled or re-donated to those who need it within the community.

⭐All donations/recycling go towards funding more sustainability efforts on campus.

‼️Entry for the prize drawing is limited to students only, please bring your Wolfcard!

🚫Please keep in mind that University owned tech cannot be recycled through us and you will need to speak to the OIT support center computing help desk at the Matthewson-IGT knowledge center.
