RHS Class of 1982 40th Reunion

Hi RHS friends, this is Tiffany Tripp East. My aunt Carol Tripp passed away last weekend. Some of you may have had her as an English teacher at RHS so I just wanted to share her obituary with you. Teaching was an important and rewarding part of her life. She often asked about some of my classmates.

Reno High's 6 new Hall of Famers include Olympic medalist, Nevada's winningest baseball coach Reno High's Hall of Fame ceremonies are set for Sept. 13-14.

In this video profile of Richard Clark's state champion We the People class from Reno High School in Nevada, reporter Teri Russell says that We the People encourages students to "flex their intellectual as well as their social muscles." Senior Trent Gower says, "I've learned to express myself on an academic level and to put myself forward." He adds, "This class has really allowed me to open up." Reno, Reed win division titles at national 'We the People' competition Teams from Reno and Reed high schools won their respective divisions at the national finals for "We the People: The Citizen and the Constitution."

This family-operated restaurant (and Green Dining NV Restaurant) has eliminated Styrofoam to-go containers and replaced them with paper to-go boxes and bags. They offer biodegradable straws on demand and use local purveyors for most of their food and beverage purchases. They also performed a waste audit to better understand their waste stream!
