**How would you like to make history?**
I am looking for **one serious female movement apprentice / collaborator** in Reno.
Not a date.
Not a casual dance partner.
Not a muse.
Not entertainment.
Not someone looking for attention.
This is for the development, documentation, testing, and transmission of a movement system I call **Wu Wei Standing Wave**.
Wu Wei Standing Wave is a whole-body movement operating system I have spent years developing through thousands of hours of daily practice. It is built around continuous motion, circular and spiral pathways, balance, carried momentum, reduced braking, rhythmic coordination, relaxed structure, and what I call **Land Flight** — grounded movement that feels lighter, faster, more continuous, and less wasteful than ordinary stop-start motion.
I am currently the only person who fully lives inside this system.
That has to change.
I am looking for one woman because this work cannot remain locked inside one man’s body. Wu Wei Standing Wave is not only for me, not only for men, and not only for performance. If a woman learns it, the system becomes more visible, more transferable, and harder to dismiss as one man’s personal style, dance habit, or martial-arts expression.
If this work is what I believe it is, the first woman to truly learn it will help define the future of the system.
I believe the right woman may even learn certain parts of it faster than many men, because many women already have a more natural relationship with hip motion, rhythm, fluidity, and whole-body flow. That is not a rule. It is a working observation.
I am 55 years old. I have had open-heart surgery. There was a time when I easily could have not survived. I used to weigh around 280 pounds. By ordinary expectations, I should not feel the way I feel now.
But I do.
Through years of living inside this movement system, I now feel stronger, younger, more coordinated, more alive, and more at home in my body than I ever have. I am not presenting that as a medical claim or asking anyone to believe it on faith. I am saying the change in me is real enough that I am now working to document it, test it, teach it, and find out what happens when the system enters another body.
You do **not** need to be a professional dancer.
Useful backgrounds may include dance, gymnastics, martial arts, yoga, circus arts, athletics, flow arts, theater, bodywork, or simply strong natural movement intelligence.
What matters most is:
serious curiosity,
body awareness,
discipline,
intelligence,
courage,
patience,
creativity,
trustworthiness,
and the willingness to learn something that does not fit neatly into existing categories.
This is not choreography.
This is not copying moves.
This is not about looking pretty.
This is not about being passive.
This is about learning a different way to organize the body in motion.
I am looking for someone who can think, feel, observe, question, train, and tell the truth. Someone who is not afraid of unusual work. Someone who can handle being early. Someone who understands that new things are usually misunderstood before they are recognized.
The first step is simple: meet in a public place, talk, watch a short demonstration, and see whether the work speaks to you. Clear boundaries. Public setting. No pressure. No obligation.
If the right person appears, this could grow into training, filmed demonstrations, public presentations, workshops, artistic collaboration, research documentation, and eventually paid opportunities as the system develops.
I am not looking for everyone.
I am looking for **one serious woman** who feels the signal and wants to help bring something new into the world.
If this speaks to you, message me with:
your movement background,
what kind of movement you love,
what this post made you feel or wonder,
and why you think you might be the right person to explore it.
