Happy New Year from SNAKE! Before the holiday season we had our chapter share event. Thanks to everyone who attended! It was such a fun day full of music-making, manipulatives, and ukes! 🎵

It’s the end of the school year and we’re almost there!

In this workshop, we will have songs, folk dancing, a make ‘n’ take, and tech activities to help you not only survive, but thrive to the end of the year. Come hang out with fellow music educators as we close up the end of the school year!

And we are off to Chicago! We are ssssssssso excited for the next few days ahead. 🐍

In this workshop, you will be guided through concepts, methods and exercises you can use to teach your students musicianship without telling them you are doing so. Whether your students are singers, instrumentalists, working on standard ensemble repertoire, jazz or hip-hop, these exercises will help them become more aware of their musical surroundings. During the presentation, we will go over reasons why one might decide to use numbers, solfege, do-based or la-based minors in teaching. Overall, participants will leave with ideas and exercises they can implement into their teaching right away.
