REMEMBER Ukraine this holiday season.

I will be collecting shoeboxes for Ukraine to be collected and taken to Stanwood Foursquare Church where they'll be organized and sent off to Ukraine. This is originally organized by Yulia Clack (in Stanwood) by I would like to show the Whidbey love as well.

You are welcome to bring a filled shoebox or donations to fill a shoebox any time before December 13th. Filled shoeboxes and donations can be dropped off at Candlewood Suites in Oak Harbor. You can also find tags to shop for there or I can send you a tag.

Tag Categories: BOY - infant, toddler (2-4), school age (5-7), (8-10), (11-15); MALE - adult, senior / elder. GIRL - infant, toddler (2-4), school age (5-7), (8-10), (11-15); FEMALE - adult, senior / elder.

If you would like to make a card to send, you can join me on Saturday, December 10th & Sunday, December 11th @ 1pm - Candlewood Suites, 3rd floor boardroom. All supplies will be available for you to make a card or two.

Would any kiddos and / or parents like to learn about Juneteenth? I have 5 copies of an amazing young adult novel called "White Lilacs" written by Carolyn Meyer I would like to read as a group.

If you're interested, let me know so I can get you a book and journal. We can meet in person or virtually or here on the page, share our thoughts and ideas, and learn about this holiday.

My daughter's first baby sitter was a young woman who was our neighbor; she was born in Kyiv. Her family was gracious, welcoming, delightful, and it saddens me to watch her "home" being torn apart. She is now married with her own family, loves American and Ukraine. So, I contacted her to ask what I could do to help and support Ukraine.

I will be collecting items from a list provided by several groups and taking them to a local shipping company (MEEST - Federal Way and Bellevue) that ships to Ukraine and other Eastern European countries.

You can also donate money, which will be used towards greatly reduced shipping costs - $2.50 / pound for AIR and $1.00 / pound for SEA.

Many of us are looking forward to spring - clean out your closets for warm clothes, things that you aren't using...anything and everything helps!

As the sun is creeping back in the sky and it's light a little longer in the day, I'm realizing graduation will be here in no time. I am working on a scrapbook for my graduating senior.

If you have or know of a graduating senior and would like to join me for some crafting, chatting, food, and fun, I'd love to have some company!

If you don't know where to start...I can help you with that.
If you don't have tools, supplies, or ideas...I can help you with that.
I've been scrapbooking since 2005 and have found it to be a source of relaxation and stress relief, a creative outlet to remember and share with others - I have also accumulated so much. And I'd be happy to share.

Let me know when you're available - I'm flexible. I have a centrally-located space for about 3 people. I do ask that you wear a mask and that you haven't been in contact with anyone who has COVID-19 symptoms, as my daughter has health issues and I would not want her exposed to COVID-19.
