Outside of the classroom, she is a proud mama to her son, Makai, her sweet golden retriever, Mahina & a grateful, loving wife. She loves spending time by the beach, going for runs with the ocean breeze & unwinding through yoga.

Meet Miss Nancy! 🦋📚

With over 20 years of teaching experience in the Greater Los Angeles and Orange County areas, she brings both passion and expertise to every learning environment. A native of Southern California, Nancy began her career in public and private schools before transitioning to the homeschool community, where she has spent the last 8+ years working with families in small learning pods, micro-schools, and one-on-one tutoring.

Drawing from more than a decade in traditional classrooms, Nancy understands that every child learns at their own pace. She believes that true learning happens when students are given opportunities to grow—supported by a teacher’s guidance rather than direct instruction. Her approach focuses on building confidence and encouraging curiosity through personalized, hands-on lessons that meet children where they are.

Outside the classroom, Nancy enjoys spending time in her garden, baking, dancing, and exploring nature with her own children. She’s also passionate about supporting butterfly populations—especially monarchs—and loves getting her hands dirty in the soil. With eight years of experience teaching dance to children of all ages, she continues to find joy and creativity through movement. For Nancy, learning isn’t just a classroom activity—it’s a way of life.

Bella is a teacher passionate about cultivating a love for learning, curiosity, community, and the world. Born and raised in Chicago, she taught there for 5 years before moving to Los Angeles, where she has spent the last 5 years supporting homeschool families, starting learning pods, consulting, and teaching in micro-schools.

With over a decade of experience, she loves creating engaging, hands-on lessons and curriculums that spark curiosity and help students grow in meaningful ways. Her focus is always on meeting each child where they are and inspiring a lifelong love for learning.

Outside the classroom, she enjoys spending time outdoors, taking walks through different neighborhoods, staying active, and exploring new places. Japan holds a special place in her heart, and she’s always planning her next adventure.
