Paint a Style Art School, Redmond

Devika Kapoor is a renowned artist from New Delhi, India. She did her Masters in Fine Arts from College of Art, New Delhi. She started her professional career as a graphic designer for Outlook Magazine where she designed the entire book on South Asian travel. She continued as a freelance artist and photographer once she moved to USA. Her passion towards graphic and visual art grew with every stroke of brush that drove her to start her own painting studio and art school, Paint a Style, in 2014 at Redmond. In the desire to share the knowledge, she started her classes to teach children. With the support from great art patrons, her school expanded into workshop and camps and other events that brought art closer to children and adults in and around Seattle. Devika believes in a simple philosophy, “Everybody is creative, and creativity needs to be nourished”. A philosophy as simple as this resonates with all but it takes years of dedicated hard work to have people become part of it. Devika has been striving to nurture this creativity in people for years now. A versatile artist like Devika is not bound by any media or medium. She excels in experimenting various mediums to bring freshness to the art, let it be paper, ceramic, terracotta or metal. She has been teaching varied styles like Contemporary art, Indian folk art like Madhubani, Warli & Gond (glue) art, Mosaic, Fabric, Clay and many more. Contributing back to community is equally important to Devika. She volunteers at recognized organizations like Aim for Seva, Indus Creations and many more regularly. She actively organizes after school and cultural workshops with Samskriti Kala Kendra and other schools all over Seattle. Unique themes of her workshops are exquisite and fascinating that bring creativity out. Her students have done wonders in art, their work frequently gets recognized by the school programs and other art fraternity. Devika is thankful to all her patron families for their support in her endeavor to bring art closer to people.

Amazing 3 Arsty Days at the Redmond Art Festival organised by VALA Eastside at Redmond Town Center, City of Redmond - Parks & Recreation
Community leaders, officers and community members poured in so much love to our community tree we built over the last 3 days.

Sincere gratitude to everyone who came, participated and joined us to bring alive the tree and transform it into a unique art piece.

Special thanks to all the volunteers who helped making it a success.
