VAI-Vocal Arts Instruction My name is Ms. Vai, and I am a classically trained soprano with 14 years of experience as a choir director and voice teacher.

I aim to help vocalists of all ages unlock their natural voices, boost their confidence, and instill healthy singing habits.

Some things we noticed about aiming sound above the imaginary wall were:
1. They had more energy in their bodies
2. Their intonation was better
3. They were louder without force
4. Their vowels were taller

Helping my 6th graders understand the top number of a time signature by making it look like a math problem. 😆 They like math so they enjoyed learning it this way.

It doesn’t hurt to try new things with your choir. If it works, great. If it doesn’t, don’t use it again. 😆

For my 7am class, I normally have them walk around during warm ups to wake up their bodies, but I thought I’d try something different here. I tried it with my private voice students and it registered, so I wanted to try with the choir.

I think I like it and will use it again.
