On Friday, March 20th, Mrs. Jennifer Goss, a Project Leader from Echoes and Reflections, spoke to Mr. Walters' Holocaust and Genocide Studies classes. The focus of her talk was on Holocaust survivor Itka Zygmuntowicz.

Mrs. Goss is a leader in Holocaust education, holding a Masters Degree in Holocaust Studies from West Chester University and working with the United States Holocaust Museum prior to her work with Echoes and Reflections. Mr. Walters and Mrs. Kristin Brumbach were able to bring Mrs. Goss to Governor Mifflin as part of a grant they received from the Mark Schonwetter Holocaust Education Foundation. The grant also allowed GM students to attend and visit the United States Holocaust Museum on March 13th.

They are still accepting applications but enrollment is limited. If you would like to apply, stop in the school counseling office for the application packet.

Congrats to the Governor Mifflin High School Engineering team for participating in the 4th Annual Engineering Jam at Alvernia University! This event, which is held in alignment with National Engineers Week, brings together local high school students for competitions focused on the process of engineering design. We are so proud to share that these stellar students took 2nd place in the Design/Build competition! 🥈
