I found so much joy and celebration of the human spirit when stumbling upon this table on today's walk. My husband and I have many different paths we take on our daily walks. We mix it up depending on timing, mileage, and weather. Over a week ago, I snapped a picture at this exact spot because the lawn was covered with beautiful flowers. Today, I see that the plantings were meant to be shared with a warm hand and kind heart ❤️.
Grateful for choosing this path today.

Such as in life, ‘things’ don’t always turn out as planned.

While transferring my freshly baked cheesecake to its platter on Saturday afternoon, somehow, the cake broke and half landed on the floor! Definitely not the way I envisioned serving this cake!
While, for a brief moment, I felt anger and disappointment, I tried out the practice of being kinder to myself. I snapped this picture and invited the others who were home to join me for some cake crumble (the half that didn't hit the floor!). It may not have looked like I had thought it would, but it tasted very delicious all the same! 😋

Today, if you begin to get worked up, observe yourself.
