127 WDTC students have been awarded Build Dakota Scholarships for the 2026-27 academic year. Begin your future at wdt.edu.

Governor Larry Rhoden announced on Tuesday that 618 students have been awarded Build Dakota Scholarships for the 2026-2027 academic year, marking the 12th cohort of recipients since the program launched more than a decade ago.

Braydon Spear, Captain of the Pennington County Sheriff's Office Explorer program, has been assisting law enforcement officers at the Central States Fair. The Explorers Program is open to anyone between the ages of 15 and 21 who are interested in a law enforcement career. Spears is currently enrolled in the Law Enforcement Technology Program at WDTC.

Behind the scenes at the Central States Fair, there’s a team working to help keep everything running smoothly — including Sheriff’s Explorers.

The Explorers are helping staff the command post, monitor cameras, keep an eye on activity around the fairgrounds and communicate what they see over the radio. Read more at the link in the comments.

A BIG shout out to WDTC employees who volunteered at the Hart Ranch Wild West Rodeo in support of Educator Appreciation Night. Our volunteer efforts helped raise nearly $1850.00! These funds will help support students attending SkillsUSA state and national competitions. Way to go TEAM!
