Project Warmth Parade - Tuesday, 8/18/26 at the BHQG gathering.

Project Warmth continues to grow! Judy Y. is once again amazed by the number of quilts being created by our awesome volunteers. ❤️ Our next Project Warmth Workshop is August 31, and sewing machines will be available, a pot luck lunch, a door prize, and smiles galore, so come join us and lend a hand.

One more reminder: 2-Bit Challenge projects are due the first Tuesday in September—September 1! We can’t wait to see what everyone has created for this judged contest.

Great work, quilters! Keep those machines humming! 🪡🧵

BHQG BUSINESS MEETING — Monday, August 17, 2026 😂

Who says a business meeting has to be all business?

The BHQG Board added plenty of fun to Monday night’s meeting, beginning with a Guild Garage Sale! Members rented a table or two and brought along quilting and craft treasures they were ready to part with. There was something for just about everyone—fabric, books, rulers, patterns, kits, embroidery designs, notions, and plenty more. Bargains were found, treasures changed hands, and everyone had a great time browsing.

Before the meeting even officially began, Melissa H. turned committee introductions into an event of their own, calling each committee forward one at a time with the enthusiasm of an over-the-top ring announcer. Subtle? Definitely not. Hilarious? Absolutely! 😂

During the business meeting, we also had an opportunity to say thank you to our former Board members, who were presented with an embroidered heart block with "Thank You" on it, in recognition of the time and energy they have given to the Guild. ❤️

Then Sharon B. and Melissa H. carried on with the evening’s official theme: “NEVER AGAIN!” They shared quilts that turned out beautifully—but also told the stories behind the techniques that convinced them they would never, ever make them that way again!

There were quilt jokes, relatable quilting mishaps, plenty of good-natured teasing, and lots of laughter throughout the evening. Anyone who has ever ripped out a seam, wrestled with a difficult technique, or finished a quilt while muttering "never again" could certainly relate!

Sometimes the best Guild meetings are the ones where we take care of business and remember how much fun it is simply to be together.

Thank you to everyone who helped make it such an entertaining evening! 😂

The Fall Retreat is quickly approaching! 🧵

We’re excited to welcome Reeze Hanson, an accomplished quilter, designer, and teacher. Reeze designs patterns for multiple fabric companies and creates an annual Block of the Month program.

This year’s retreat offers a wonderful variety of classes and techniques, including:

• AccuQuilt cutting – cutters will be provided in class
• Working with curves
• Using 60° rulers
• Creating with charm packs to make diamonds, half hexagons, and tumblers

Prefer some independent sewing time? SOYO (Sew On Your Own) is available too! Mix and match classes and SOYO to create three fun-filled days of quilting, learning, and spending time with fellow quilters.

📋 Class supply lists are available on the Guild website and at the Tuesday Morning Gatherings.

✨ Registration is open to both members and non-members! Bring a friend, sign up for a couple of classes, add a day of SOYO, and make it a quilting getaway to remember!

🍁 We hope to see you at the Fall Retreat!
