There was a photo was taken approximately 1882 at Ft Randall SD where my ancestor was held under arrest. There is a butterfly on his hat. He received this as a gift from royalty who came to visit him. You'll see it in the photo compilation of SB. We recently received information that may be related to that person of royalty. Updates later.
