Lofton Lake Volleyball Camp VOLLEYBALL CAMP Lofton Lake Volleyball Camp is an amazing opportunity for any young girl or boy interested in learning more about the sport.

We focus on the basic moves and play within the beautiful landscape of Augusta County. Coaches range from former high school volleyball stars to collegiate coaches. Campers rave about the skills work, numerous opportunities to play mini-games, and of course, the 90-minute lake time to cool off. What a week! 😄

We had another incredible time at the lake and can’t believe it’s over! We saw so much progress with passing, setting, hitting, serving, hustle, teamwork skills and more! Most importantly, we hope that campers developed a love for the game that we love the most! 🏐

Thank you to all who made the drive to help your campers have a successful week! We look forward to seeing you next year. 😊

Good evening Lofton Lake families! 👋🏻

We had another fantastic day at the lake. The weather was perfect! Campers continue to get lots of opportunities to learn, practice drills and apply skills in scrimmages and mini-games (and of course, enjoy the much deserved lake time). ☀️ 🏐 🛶

Tomorrow, please have your campers wear their new camp shirts. We will take group pictures during the first session. 📷

Also, just a reminder— Please hold your campers until 8:55 AM due to traffic flow. We have some campers that stay on properties nearby, so they may walk in a little sooner. Other than that, we ask that all campers remain in vehicles until this time. Thank you again! 🚘

Hello again Lofton Lakers!

Thank you for another great day despite the weather. We were so glad for some sunshine at the end of our time together to jump in the lake. 🏊🏼‍♀️

Here are a couple reminders to help us keep things going smoothly:

1️⃣ After 3:00, please stay on the other side of the dam. This helps traffic flow as you know the lane is a one-way. We know it makes for a long wait, but it’s so much safer on the lane in/out.

2️⃣ Please remind your camper to bring snack money. It’s an honor system. We noticed money wasn’t adding up to the inventory laid out. Coins and small bills are best since things are $1 or $2.

We are all good at camp! We have had some heavy rain, minimal lightning, and thunder. We are paused for our lake session.

If the lightning and thunder continue, we will remain in shelter. If it clears up, we will do lake time until 3:45.

Dismissal remains the same! Go across the dam until 4:05. We will have coaches set up for directions to get your campers from the designated locations.

Hey families! 👋🏻

Thank you all so very much for a great first day of camp. Traffic flow went wonderfully and everyone had a safe and fun day! Continue to keep your camper in the car until 8:55 for safety during arrival. Thank you for your patience with this! It helps things go as smooth and safe as possible.

Tomorrow will be a bit warmer, so please make sure that your camper brings plenty of water and sunscreen to reapply. Just a reminder: If it rains, we will continue to play. If it’s a downpour or lightning, we have plans in place for shelter. We have never had to cancel a whole camp day for a rainstorm or showers but may pause a session if needed. Thankfully, summer storms pass quickly!

Also, we have Gatorade, chips and candy in the kitchen area. This is on an honor system, so please send in small bills or coins for payment. Gatorade and candy are $2.00 each while chips are $1.00.

We do have some Lost and Found items that are located in the Main Cabin (before crossing the dam). If your child has lost something, please tell them to check that space.

Finally, if you would like to watch your child(ren) play, you are welcome to park your vehicle at 3:00 in the normal traffic line. Then, you may get out of your vehicle and bring a lawn chair to set up along the court. If you would like to join in on play on Thursday, feel free to do that as well on our last day!

🤩 Camp is just 5 days away. Be sure to check out this page for important news and daily photos!

⬇️ Here are two pieces of helpful info to make your campers’ experience the best it can be:

1.) Be sure to pack all the essentials! This includes tennis shoes (crocs are not playing shoes), spare clothes, sunscreen, bathing suit, towel, lunch, plenty of water, and (optional) bug spray, sunglasses, hat.

2.) On our first day of camp, traffic is always the heaviest! Please be patient. Drive all the way across the dam to the court area. Keep your camper(s) in the car until 8:55 AM. We will dismiss cars back across at 9:05. DO NOT BE LATE. The dirt road is narrow in some points and you will get stuck in the traffic.

We want to see as many returning players and new faces as we can. Be sure to get your forms printed, completed and postmarked by July 13 to save $15 on registration. Players get four full days of play, lake and a cool t-shirt to remember their special week! 🏐 🏊🏼‍♀️ 😎

Camp is a great opportunity for new players to learn a love for the game and for returning players to enhance their skills with local high school coaches and outstanding local athletes. It’s also perfect for those headed to tryouts soon to get that extra practice in! 💙
