To save her people, she would have to be fully known.

That’s when she stopped being the queen who happened to be Jewish. She became the Jewish woman who happened to be queen.

Her identity became the instrument of salvation.
The thing you’ve been told is too much — it might be exactly the thing. I wrote about what

The most disruptive thing you can do in a noisy season is stop and ask one question.

What does this moment need from me?

Not what does everyone expect. Not what will fix it fastest. Not what makes me look like I have it together.

What does this moment need from me.

That question is formation. It’s how the women in She Already Knew moved — not from urgency, but from orientation.

She didn’t campaign for the position. She just held her post and was ready when the moment came.

She named the outcome and surrendered the credit the battle started. And she never asked permission.

That’s what readiness looks like. Rooted, ready, and tuned to the Spirit of God.

This is the second in my series spotlighting women who did exactly that, women who didn’t wait for perfect conditions or a louder calling. They acted in their moment, in their way, and it changed things.

She didn’t miss the provision.
She missed the sight.

Grief does that. Exhaustion does that. Carrying what was never yours to carry does that.

Hagar was sitting within reach of a well she couldn’t see because grief had closed her eyes
to it.

He didn’t create a new well. He opened her eyes to the one that was already there.

That is El Roi. The God who sees — and who opens our eyes to see.

If you are in a season where you cannot see what is right in front of you — you are not
missing it. He is opening your eyes to it.
