Hi everyone! 👋🏼

Welcome to Bilingual Brainwaves—my professional page dedicated to tutoring and bilingual resources for the classroom! I’m excited to share my services with the Bergen County community and beyond and look forward to connecting with families looking for a tutor for their children.

Now a little bit about myself…

👩🏻‍🏫 My name is Mel Bolano. You may see me as Melisande Goldberg on here but don’t worry, it’s still me—blame Facebook for locking me out of my old account for that one.

🏡 I recently moved to Bergen County with my husband and 1 year old twins. This is also the driving force behind Bilingual Brainwaves, as an avenue to continue engaging in the education space while allowing me time to be at home with my little ones.

🌎 I speak English and Spanish, in fact I am a certified bilingual teacher and have been teaching English Language classes in my school district for over 10 years.

📖 I have been teaching for over 15 years—with the last 10 being in a NYC public elementary school.

🍎 In 2021 I received the New York City Big Apple Teacher Award.
