The stage was set, and our students delivered! Last night, we kicked off our spring performance season with Theater in the Park in our outdoor amphitheater.
Under the watchful eye of our wonderful drama teacher, Ms. Gonzalez, these incredible 3rd–5th grade acting elective students completely took the reins—writing three original plays, gathering props, and performing their skits flawlessly. Bravo to Ms. Gonzalez and these amazing young actors!

Our Kindergarten and 1st-grade students were absolutely honored to welcome the incredible Raleigh Little Theatre to Poe for a special performance.
From the wide eyes to the big giggles, our students were completely captivated by the magic of live storytelling.

From curious questions to hands-on discoveries, our K–2 students have been busy scientists in our Kitchen Chemistry elective!
They explored the magic of matter by creating oobleck—learning how substances can act like both liquids and solids—and turned up the heat by designing their very own solar ovens.
We love seeing our young learners experiment, problem-solve, and have fun along the way. Who knew science could be this deliciously exciting?
Students in our K-1 Music and Movement class are having a blast learning new songs and singing along!

Fold, or fold not. There is no try!
The Force is strong in our Art electives! To celebrate May the 4th, our 3rd-5th grade artists leveled up their skills by creating these incredible origami Yodas.
We love bringing real-world interests into the classroom—it’s how we help our students "use the Force" to grow their unique gifts and explore brand-new art forms. May the Fourth be with you!
