Partnership Magnet Elementary
We are the smallest magnet school in the Wake County Public School System; tucked on one city block
We are a school of choice in Wake County Public School System where individualized instruction is delivered using a team approach to know each child as a learner and to teach to his/her strengths and challenges. Starting in the 2017-2018 school year, Partnership is becoming a WCPSS Magnet School with the theme of Interactive Community. We are excited about this change and look forward to building on many of the things which make Partnership Elementary an excellent place to learn!

Our Interactive Community got to participate in a wonderful learning experience on Friday! Way to go first graders!!
STEMposium is the culminating event for WakeEd Partnership’s SummerSTEM program held at SAS Campus. Our first grade students completed a project-based learning unit where they collected data about birds on our campus in winter, identified and defined the problems birds have surviving in winter, conducted research and heard from experts, and then designed solutions. Our grade level designed bird houses to assist cavern-nesting birds, specifically chickadees. Athaliyah’s design was selected, made into a prototype (by the students), and then fabricated by industrial engineers at Laut Design in Raleigh. Aidan and Athaliyah did a fabulous job presenting their project to the STEMposium attendees, including WCPSS Superintendent Dr. Robert Taylor.

Our Interactive Community loves when other people from our community join us! Raleigh Charter High School had awesome presentations and activities for third and fourth graders on Friday. They taught the students about recycling, coral reefs, bees, pollution, and more! We are so fortunate they want to give back to their community and we’re right down the street!

First graders enjoyed James Pflaum from the environmental engineering firm Hazen and Sawyer. He spent time talking about soil formation and examining organic matter and microscopic crittters in different soil samples.
