We launched a new course in the fall of 2024: MBA590 (Accounting for ESG).

Current student Tamecka Taylor '26 reflected on her experience:

"I recently took the new Accounting for ESG course and found it both engaging and practical. The class introduced me to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) reporting and its growing importance in business strategies. By focusing on the essentials of ESG reporting, this course gave me tools to interpret and apply ESG principles in real-world situations. Whether focused on accounting, finance, or corporate responsibility, this course provides valuable insights."

As an emerging leader, Rachel will join a network of change-makers committed to shaping a more sustainable future. She'll also attend the GreenBiz 2025 conference representing the BSC and NC State Poole College of Management!

You see him around campus, now it's time to get to know Vikas Anand, associate dean for academic programs at NC State Poole College of Management.

He came to the U.S in 1994 — his first time in the country, where opportunities were most promising — to earn a doctorate in management at Arizona State University. After 22 years at the University of Arkansas, Anand made the jump to at NC State, joining the Wolfpack in 2021.

“For me, helping launch students into careers which benefit them and make an impact is huge. To see the impact we can make on students and then the mark they make on the world is one of the most meaningful things for me.”

Outside of NC State, Anand finds joy in travel, photography, and spending time with his children. Check out some of his photos from a recent trip to India.

Meet alumnus Moss Withers '10 — CEO and Founding Principal, Lee & Associates, Raleigh-Durham.

Before joining the in 2008, Moss earned a BA from Appalachian State University and worked in development and operations. For him, the choice to pursue an MBA was simple. Moss wanted to deepen his understanding of the many moving parts of running a business – from strategy and marketing to operations and finance.

Beyond the ethos of NC State, Moss appreciates the different people he met, “The friendships and professional connections I built during my time at Jenkins have been lasting and continue to enhance my personal and professional life.”
