Homework with a smile?! 😄
One of the coolest things about teaching kids is watching their excitement carry off the mats and into their everyday lives. We’ve been working on activity sheets at home, coloring techniques, reviewing positions, and having a blast doing it.
When kids love Jiu Jitsu, it stops feeling like “homework” and starts feeling like something they’re proud of. They want to learn more, practice more, and share it with everyone around them.
Confidence grows when learning is connected to fun, encouragement, and curiosity. Proud of these kids for bringing that energy every single day. 💙🥋
What if the best part of your day was the hardest part?
The part where you show up tired.
The part where you sweat, struggle, and push yourself past what felt comfortable.
The part where quitting would’ve been easier.
And somehow, when it’s over, you don’t feel drained.
You feel clearer. Stronger. Rejuvenated.
Because there’s something powerful about doing hard things on purpose. About earning your confidence instead of waiting for it.
That’s what the mats give us. A place to challenge ourselves, reset our minds, and leave better than we arrived.
Some battles don’t look like battles from the outside.
For some of us, the hardest part isn’t the grind, the pressure, or the hard work. We’re used to overcoming those things. The difficult part is the stillness. Feeling disconnected. Feeling like you’re fighting alone.
That’s why we’re proud to be more than a gym.

6 AM training isn’t just about fitness or jiu jitsu.

Ask one of our students how tall they are…
“10 feet tall.”
And they mean it.
That kind of confidence doesn’t just show up out of nowhere. It’s built.
Through trying hard things. Through falling and getting back up. Through games that challenge them, push them, and make them laugh at the same time.
It’s built in a room full of teammates who cheer them on.
Coaches who believe in them.
And a community that reminds them what they’re capable of, even on the days they forget.
Because doubt will creep in. It always does.
But here, they’ve got an army behind them.
Lifting them up.
Pushing them forward.
Helping them keep going.
Our students stand tall.
Not just because of what they’ve done…
But because they know they’re on the path to something great.
And we’re excited to be there with them every step of the way.

This weekend, our team stepped into the arena at Toro Cup.
That alone deserves respect.
Most people will never test themselves like that. They’ll never feel the nerves, the pressure, the uncertainty of putting it all on the line in front of a crowd. But our athletes did.
They showed up. They competed. They grew.
“It is not the critic who counts… the credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood… who strives valiantly, who errs, who comes short again and again… but who does actually strive to do the deeds.”
That’s what this weekend was about.
Not perfection. Not results alone. But courage, effort, and the willingness to step forward when it’s uncomfortable.
We’re proud of every single one of you. This is just part of the climb.
