Something else I’ve gotten myself into is making hypertufa pots for my plants! It’s fun to get my friends to play in the cement with me 🤓😎
Rather than buying a large pot at the store for $75 you can make your own old-stone looking pot for about $8 or less. Take 2 weeks to cure.

I seriously love this kid. He was the best helper with making this stand for hanging garden plants. This is a total experiment as I’m trying to learn about gardening with the little sun we have in our yard. Have you had luck with hanging plants? (More pics in stories)

This cutie wanted to make a pen because the one he made many years ago got lost. I love my kids using the lathe and seeing their excitement!
I got to thinking… I want to offer a pen turning class! I want to light a fire within more people that they are capable, that fear of doing new things is normal (but move forward anyways) and that learning/creating is a huge part of enjoyment in life.
Oh this will be fun! 🤩

Going through pictures and saw these beauts! Back in 2014 I took a cabinet making class at our local college in Ann Arbor, Michigan and it was the best schooling experience of my life 😍

This was a very rewarding one day project! I got these chairs about 6 years ago and they’ve seen better days. 😬🫣 I tightened all the legs, reinforced the seats underneath, sanded and stained/waxed the legs, added more padding to the cushions and stapled a new fabric cover/bottom on. I LOVE these chairs now (and don’t trust them in my house anymore 🤗😜). More pictures in stories 👍🏻

I finally pulled down one of my big beams I’ve been saving - YA’ll!.. I’ve been in heaven planing and jointing this stuff. I literally wake up in the middle of the night and think how exciting it will be to process another board - and I have to hold myself back from turning on my becomes at 6am 🤣🤣. After working with pine 98% of the time this is a HUGE treat.
Also, I finally went through my 1 gallon jug of wood glue — trying out this time 💪🏻
